Redesign for zero waste or redesign for waste to be a business opportunity - Waxed Cardboard
Background & Intention
Waxed cardboard is used by farmers to pack produce. It is a huge waste problem for most grocery stores including Portland's New Seasons stores. Obviously, there could be a system redesign to use a different boxes, and/or distribution methods, but until that happens, we see waxed cardboard as a business opportunity.
ApPeil hosted this event to inspire, work out those innovative brain muscles, and use this co-creative method for grave to cradle strategies. At this event you will learn about the current waxed cardboard waste problem, what is being made, and then we will tackle that "what if?" question. All creatives, designers and entrepreneurs are welcome to join.
We also understand that having the idea and making the business happen is quite another thing.
Thank you to all the amazing brains on this problem. ApPeil has made the pitch to continue to explore this problem.
