The Missile Silo Project

These photos are of an abandoned missile silo. This remnant of the cold war era sits and waits for visitors of meadowlarks, party goers, and the winds and snows that help it re-wild. This site is dying to have an art project happen to it, and I hope I'm the woman to get it going. This relic of war can be remade into art for peace. A few years ago, my niece and I had a photo shoot in front of the giant carriages that held the missiles. These photos are to remind us that when the public is told that, "you will be safe under your desk", it's likely the public has no idea what's really going on.
